UCLA Campus Tour Program Application 2021-2022

    Thank you for your interest in joining UCLA's Campus Tour Program!

    Tour Guides are employed by UCLA Undergraduate Admission, they are responsible for welcoming visitors to campus, including prospective students and their families, and community college/high school groups. Tour Guides serve as a representative for the university and work to establish a quality first impression. Tour Guides must display pride and passion for UCLA while representing themselves in a professional and appropriate manner.  

    Carefully review the following information regarding eligibility and responsibilities before applying.

    Eligibility:

    • Full time UCLA undergraduate student status (enrolled in a minimum of 12 units)
    • Good academic standing (maintaining at least 2.5 overall GPA)
    • Available to work a minimum of 7 hours per week (excluding university holidays and campus closures – winter break)
    • Available to participate for the entire duration of winter and spring quarters 2022
    • Due to the minimum hours required, the Campus Tour Program cannot hire students who are concurrently employed as Residential Advisors (RAs) through the Office of Residential Life

    Hiring preference may be given to applicants available to work during summer.

    Tour Guide Responsibilities:

    • Be available to conduct two tours per week, tours are offered:
      • Monday - Friday at 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 2:45 p.m.
    • Be available to conduct two Saturday tours per quarter, tours are offered:
      • Saturday 10:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.
    • Be available to conduct one virtual tour per quarter, tours are offered:
      • Tuesday 3:30 p.m. fall quarter only (winter and spring quarter TBD)
    • Staff one office hour per week (answer phones, respond to emails, office upkeep, and other duties as assigned)
    • Attend mandatory weekly staff meetings (Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.; exceptions will be made for class scheduling conflicts)
    • Attend mandatory annual trainings (see dates below)
    • Assist Undergraduate Admission with on-campus events, such as student panels, workshops, live-chat sessions, and special events( Freshman/Transfer Bruin Day, Fall Open House)

    *Please note if you are offered a position, you will be accountable for the information you shared on the application. This includes winter, spring and summer availability as well as participation in mandatory meetings/trainings.

    The pay rate is $15 per hour. 

    We will start accepting applications on Monday, October 4. And the application deadline is Friday, October 15 at 11:59 p.m. PT

    *Participation in Informational Sessions is not mandatory.
