Thank you for your interest in a UCLA group tour! We are grateful and excited for the opportunity to uncover your students’ potential in higher education at UCLA and/or beyond. Our group tours are led by current UCLA undergraduate students, who will provide a one-hour in-person walkthrough of campus and a comprehensive overview of relevant academic programs, resources, and student life tailored to the specific needs of your individual group of students. In order to ensure a smooth, successful experience, please review the following important information before submitting: Group Tour Guidelines
Each group tour request requires approval and confirmation from our team prior to the scheduled tour. UCLA reserves the right to cancel reservations for groups that fail to meet our criteria. By making a reservation, your group agrees to adhere to the rules listed below:
-
Group tours are reserved for high schools, community colleges, and community-based organizations who work with students in 9th grade level and above.
-
If you are requesting a tour for students in 8th grade level and lower, please submit a request to our Cub Tours Program here.
-
If you are an individual family looking to bring a group of students to campus, please schedule an “on-campus tour” here.
-
The primary contact listed on the form is responsible for responding to any communications sent by us via phone or email, so please confirm the details are correct and operational. Failure to confirm the details of your tour prior to or on the day of the visit if deemed necessary by our staff may result in a cancellation of your reservation.
-
Group sizes range from a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 100 guests depending on your requested time. If your group requires an ADA, stroller, or wheelchair accommodation, a maximum of 25 to 75 guests is permitted depending on the requested time and guide capacity.
-
One adult chaperone is required per 25 students, and the chaperone(s) are required to stay with the group for the entire duration of the tour. The chaperone(s) are responsible for maintaining the safety and wellbeing of the students throughout the tour. In accordance with UCLA’s Principles of Community and True Bruin Values, we expect that all campus visitors, including student guests, are inclusive and respectful and hold themselves and each other accountable. Chaperones should be conscious to control excessive talking and any inappropriate actions/language. If any guest behavior jeopardizes the holistic safety of any individual or the quality of the tour, UCLA Tour Guides reserve the right to end the tour at any time. Please refer to UCLA’s Values here for additional information.
-
If any part of the visit needs to be adjusted (i.e. different ending location), please communicate these needs as soon as possible by indicating them in the comments of the form, emailing us at tours@admission.ucla.edu, or calling us at (310) 825-8764. Your reservation may be subject to termination if the nature of these changes significantly affects the logistics and quality of the group tour.
-
Groups are limited to one visit per quarter. Please do not submit multiple group tour requests as only the first request will be considered and the additional requests will be canceled.
-
Arriving late will result in a shortened tour. If your group arrives more than 15 minutes late, the tour will be canceled. As there is a high demand for these tours, please be considerate of our guides’ time and other groups and cancel your reservation if your group ends up being unavailable so that we may open this opportunity for others. Cancellations should be completed at least seven business days prior to the scheduled visit if possible. Failure to communicate delays and absences, even if unforeseen, may prevent your ability to book future reservations.
General Reminders -
Unfortunately, on-campus bus parking is not available at the moment. However, bus drop-off locations on campus are still open. The most accessible one is on Charles E. Young Dr. off of Westwood Plaza and Sunset Blvd. This location is available for 20 minutes of active loading and unloading. After dropping off, we recommend utilizing LA City Public street parking available on Sepulveda Blvd. between Montana Ave and Constitution Ave. Additional questions about bus parking can be directed to sehelpdesk@ts.ucla.edu.
-
The tour includes hills and stairs, so please be sure guests wear comfortable shoes.
-
While housing, athletics, and dining is discussed verbally on the group tour and guests are encouraged to ask questions, tour guides will not walk students through the housing areas, athletics facilities or dining options as we are not permitted visitation to those areas. Please contact the offices of interest separately if you would like your group to be accommodated here.
-
Meal vouchers are not provided by UCLA Undergraduate Admissions at this time. If your group would like to dine on campus, information about our available public restaurants can be found here.
Group times become available a couple of weeks or months in advance. To request a group tour, please click on your preferred tour date. You will then be able to select from possible tour times below. Dates/times highlighted in blue have open availability. If you are unable to visit at a time highlighted in blue, you may select a date/time highlighted in grey and be placed on a wait list. While many dates/times are highlighted in grey, you may still submit a waitlist request for one of these dates/times by clicking your preferred time.
After your form is submitted to our office, you will receive a confirmation email once your request is approved by our staff. If your request is not approved, you will receive a cancellation email. If you are on the waitlist, you will receive a reservation received response email, but will not receive a confirmation email unless another group cancels and your request is approved. To check the status of, cancel or update an existing reservation, please email UCLA Campus Tours at tours@admission.ucla.edu or call us at (310) 825-8764.
Thank you, and we look forward to connecting with your students soon!
