Tips to Enjoy Your Visit
-
Rise and shine! Our first spotlight and tours kick off at 9:00 AM. Arrive early to grab a bite, gather some information, and make the most of our program offerings. If you're using our transportation, we highly recommend catching one of our early bus departures.
-
Just a heads up, September in LA is usually sunny and warm—some might even call it hot. So, stay hydrated! We’ll have water stations around, but it’s a good idea to bring a reusable water bottle.
-
Dress light and comfy since most of our activities are outdoors. If you’re joining our tour, make sure to wear good walking shoes. We’ll hook you up with a free UCLA visor and some sunscreen packets to keep you covered.
-
Traffic in LA is a thing, as you’ve probably heard. It usually takes about 45 minutes to get from downtown to Westwood, but plan for an extra 30 minutes if traffic’s heavy.
-
We’ve got you covered with food, snacks, and beverages available all day. Plus, there are plenty of dining options both on campus and in Westwood. We've planned the day with your comfort and convenience in mind.
- Get ready to dive into the Bruin campus vibe. Since UCLA runs on the quarter system, you’ll be arriving just as the campus buzz from True Bruin Welcome is winding down. Our program coincides with many academic open houses and orientations, and you will likely see new Bruins scoping out their class locations—you may remember those days.
